Name Meaning: "water lily" in a mixture of Persian and Japanese
Traits: Purely aquatic... very rare!
Residence: The Obsidian Sea
Avaryn is a rare fully aquatic critu. She was the first of her kind that anyone at the Refuge had every seen, and Indyana was instantly entranced with her. More critun followed her arrival, but Avaryn was the first. Her name is formed from the Persian root for "water" and a Japanese word for "water lily". She is generally gentle by nature, despite her resemblance to a shark.
