So, you've tried a few times, redone your pages, and finally, you have received an egg! Oh joy! ^_^ Now, here are some things you should know about using my images...
You will most likely get to save your image from a pick up page. First, make sure you save the image in the correct format. Usually, images are in PNG format (.png extension on the name too!). PNG images are very high quality. They appear fully transparent (clear background) in most web browsers. Unfortunately, older versions of Internet Explorer do not fully support PNG images; the images will have a solid background color. I recommend downloading the Mozilla Firefox web browser if you have an older version of Internet Explorer, so you can fully enjoy the transparent PNG images. Firefox is safer and has fewer pop-ups than Internet Explorer anyway. >_> If you would like a different solid background color to be seen by browsers that do not fully support PNG, that can easily be changed.
You should save the image using the same extension that I have used. You must be especially careful if you are using Internet Explorer, NetZero, or AOL as your web browser, as some adopters have had trouble saving in the correct format. Make sure any internet acceleration programs or image compression settings are turned off. Your picture should still have the correct file extension, many colors, and a transparent background after you upload it to your web server. If you find your picture has a different file extension (such as .art or .bmp) or looks blocky, you have not loaded it correctly. Please, try again! Check to make sure you have the proper file extension and that your uploading isn't changing it. If you have a lot of problems saving from a web page pickup, I can always email you the image file. Just email me and ask politely.
Once you have the image saved in the proper format, you must not alter it in any fashion. This includes resizing/stretching it on your web pages too, so no playing with the size. Do not edit it in a graphics program at all. If you need the background changed to match a new page layout or you need resizing, cropping, text added, etc., please email me and ask politely. Usually, I will oblige. :)
Upload the image to your website. You may not 'direct link' from my server. If the image address contains 'indyslair.net', that is direct linking! Please make sure you know how to upload images to use on your webpage.
The image, although I have allowed you to use it on your dragon web pages, is still mine. You cannot use it in any other way than as a picture for your dragon pages. You may not alter it, redistribute it to other people, make it into web graphics such as buttons/avatars/anything for use on forums or other websites. You certainly can't readopt it to someone else from your own website. You definitely cannot sell it or use it on anything for sale. It is mine still. If you would like to use your dragon in a personal avatar/banner, you can email me and ask. I will probably allow it, as long as only you will be using it.
When you place a Bishen Realm image on your website, be sure the page has a link back to Bishen Realm. You must have a link on any page where a Bishen Realm image is used, not just on the first page. This is important to me! You can use a text link, a link banner, or even just link the image itself back here.
Thanks for reading my terms! The big points to remember are to not change the image, don't give or sell it to other people, and always have a link back to Bishen Realm. When in doubt, email me and ask about something rather than just going ahead and using my images willy-nilly. ;)
