Page Last Updated: March 2, 2008

In case it isn't obvious to you, these dragons are here to be picked up by their owners. They are not up for adoption. Do not take dragons from this page unless you are the owner listed below.

All images below are PNG format. They will appear fully transparent in most web browsers, excepting older versions of Internet Explorer. In those web browsers that do not support PNGs fully, they will have a black background. If you wish, I can change the background to another solid color. Just email me a request. I will not be offering transparent-looking GIF files. Deal with it.

Amaryllis

mc115f
mc115f
#mc115f -- Machesri Mountain Haze Terran Female
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Mystic Amber -- The amber gems that stub her pentagram tattoo act as a gateway into the occult. This dragon has an increased ability to sense the spiritual forces at work in all things. She can immediately sense when magic forces are at work or when there has been intervention by a deity. Because she is open to the more esoteric forces of the universe, coincidences and luck abound in her daily life. The Mystic Amber also grants her a breath weapon of golden flame.
Special Characteristics: Silver jewelry, beaded feather necklace, henna tattoos, tattoos
Notes: Her Occult element augments her natural Mountain Haze tendencies towards stillness and silence, making it easier for her to pass unnoticed. With time and patience, this dragon could develop her skills into powerful psychic and spiritual abilities.

mc114m
#mc114m -- Machesri Flawed Design Profane Terran-Arboreal Male
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Broken Timepiece -- This broken watch gives this dragon the ability to see how things work and pick up on flaws or problems. It gives him an unnatural knack for repairing things or solving difficult problems. He can also turn his keen observatory skills on others, giving him insight into how they think and act. Sometimes, he can use this knowledge to predict the actions of someone else, giving him the appearance of predicting the future. Because he can see how things work, he learns extremely quickly and picks up new skills with ease. He can produce two breath weapons: One consists of grayish bolts of crackling energy that can cause extreme pain and disorientation. The other is a dark gray mist that disorients and will eventually cause paralysis.
Mutations: Profane traits (8 limbs, talons, double horns, armored belly scales, curved back spines, cracked bone blades, membrane-less wings, and serrated wing bones), hybrid type (6 legs, 2 wings)
Special Characteristics: Scars, including a prominent one across his forehead
Notes: Because of his augmented learning abilities, this dragon could pick up many more abilities in the future.

Please Note: Information on Profanes has been added to the Varieties of Machesri page.

pc18m
#pc18m -- Portal Subway Albino Terran Male
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Heat Wave -- This dragon can breathe intense heat. He can warm, sear, or even cause things to burst into flames. He also can heat himself from the inside, although his skin becomes hot at the most. He hasn't sought to develop that ability into a defensive measure.
Metalwork -- He can make things out of metal. He must first collect the material. By using his Heat Wave ability, he can then heat it and shape it into things such as jewelry.
Special Characteristics: Tarnished jewelry
Notes: This dragon crafts his own jewelry from scraps of metal he finds in his travels. Some of it takes inspiration from the remnants of human society (jambeaux a la tin cans?). In his metalworking, he occassionally shows signs of psychokinetic abilities related to metallurgy, but he has not sought to develop them.
In my mind, he is a young male, traveling in search of his own territory. He is mature enough to have fought battles with other males; you can tell by the wear on his horns.

Please Note: I have updated the Subway Clan information on the Varieties of Portals page. Your Clan is now the closest to needing its own page. O_o

Ravyn

mc113f
#mc113f -- Machesri White Arboreal Female
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Moonlight Tiara -- This silver and crystal tiara allows this dragon to produce moonlight. She can breathe beams of light so intense that they can scorch like fire. She can also create blinding bursts of light, or light areas for exploration.
Special Characteristics: Silver, gold, and glowing crystal jewelry
Notes: As a manifestation of her light magic, this dragon's back scales and crystal jewelry almost constantly glow, unless she chooses to dim them.

mc112m
#mc112m -- Machesri Midnight Terran-Arboreal Male
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Seared Gem Tattoos -- These glowing, gem-encrusted tattoos allow this dragon to produce several types of fire breath. He can produce normal fire or fire augmented by a cleansing aura that is very effective against evil creatures or negative forces. He can also produce non-burning, psychically-based flames that can help fight poisons and infections in or remove negative energy from others.
Clairalience -- a mediumship ability that allows the user to receive messages from the dead via scent
Intuition -- a psychic ability that allows the user to tell accurately truth from lie, correct from incorrect
Mutations: Terran-Arboreal hybrid type (2 front wings, 2 back legs)
Special Characteristics: Twilight purple cloak, gold and silver jewelry, bone key, medicine bag

hc17m
#hc17m -- Hirgyae Blue Terran-Marine Male
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Caruakta'unis a h'Arina ("cah-roo-AWK-tah-OO-nees ah head ar-REE-na") -- "Dream Doors to the Mind" -- This dragon can attack others while they sleep through their dreams. The mental effects of these attacks can be devastating and, at their very worst with repetition, can cause physical harm or even death.
Mutations: Terran-Marine mixed type (4 legs)
Special Characteristics: Wave ripple tattoos, exotic gold jewelry
Notes: His tattoos glow and shift slightly, making them very realistic. They dim to almost nothing when he wishes to hide.

Amarith
Amarith -- #mc35m -- Machesri Blue Marine Male
Special Characteristics: Silver shell necklace
Notes: Redraw for Amarith (#mc35m, Machesri Clutch #6: Clarinet & Pierre)

TyKay

mc110f
Note: Image below includes her Chaotic Aura manifesting.
mc110f
Black Star
Black Star
#mc110f -- Machesri Red Terran-Arboreal Female
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Black Star -- In short, this glowing gem gives her the ability to destroy things. The forces that hold objects together under normal conditions break down, and they tear themselves apart. It is a higher chaos ability, one that warps the laws of the natural world. Being chaotic in nature, this gem does not allow her to reconstruct things. This ability also does not work with living creatures. The Black Star also gives her two breath weapons, one of red hot fire and one of pure chaos (which appears as glowing red energy surrounded by a black aura), which will cause damage to anything in its path, including enemies.
Chaotic Aura -- Branching off her natural inclination for chaos energy, this dragon has learned to surround herself in a cloud of chaos. Normally, this aura is not visible (except to those who can view auras). It manifests by things breaking down, going wrong, or being generally weird around her from time to time. When she gets riled up, it actually appears as a red and black halo around her, and its effects increase. At her worst, it can tear everything around her apart and severely injure anyone who gets too close. She has to fight to control it if she has allies around.
Chaotic Resonance -- She can emit a deep, roar, so low that it is felt rather than heard to human ears. This roar can be controlled. She can simply scare away other creatures, or she can use it to knock enemies unconscious or give them splitting headaches. It is most useful for disrupting active magic spells or wards.
Mutations: Terran-Arboreal hybrid type (hind legs, merger of front legs and wings), talons, back spines, widely-spaced back spines, tail spines
Special Characteristics: Glowing red scar, studded leather tail cuffs
Notes: This crafty female has solved the problem of carrying her Magical Object by embedding it in the large scar on her side. That way, it cannot be lost or stolen from her easily.

mc111m
#mc111m -- Machesri Blue Terran Male
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Dark Fairy Talisman -- This talisman gives him control over shadows, allowing him to create and manipulate them, even in broad daylight. It also attaches him to the spirit realm, giving him the ability to communicate with spirits. He has some skill with banishing and exorcising spirits.
Whirlwind -- He can create spinning vortexes of air and use them to hinder the passage of foes. He can also use them to throw things or lift enemies. They are not large enough to lift very large structures or buildings, but he can cause wind damage.
Sepulcher's Veil -- He can wrap a foe in an inky blackness. The affected enemy sees only blackness, hears only silence. The target's other senses are muted, although still functional. The foe is struck with an oppressive feeling and may find the air stale or heavy, as in a tomb. This veil will fade within a few hours, and it can only be immediately broken by the touch of a holy person, such as a priest or shaman.
Mutations: Spiked mane, no back scales, tail tuft, dark blue retractable claws
Special Characteristics: Chain jewelry and piercings, goggles
Notes: This dragon's mane extends from head to end of body. It is medium length but slightly coarse so that it stands up straight from his back under normal conditions. It does droop slightly when wet. The mane also consists of different shades of color, rather than a single shade.

Yuiven

mc109m
#mc109m -- Machesri Midnight Terran-Arboreal Male
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Clairaudience -- a mediumship ability that allows the user to receive messages from the dead via hearing
Clairvoyance -- a mediumship ability that allows the user to receive messages from the dead via sight (a.k.a. they see dead people. This, unfortunately, does not also involve hearing what they are saying).
Spectral Sigil -- The user of this object is granted the ability of astral projection. He can travel through the spirit plane and view places far away. The projection can be invisible, for spying purposes, or it can be stronger. He is able to make very strong astral projections that not only can be seen but also can physically interact with the people and objects around them. These strong projections take more energy, and they cannot be maintained for long periods of time. This object also gives the user a breath weapon of blue-white spirit fire, fire that only burns on the spirit plane. It is an effective weapon against spirits, any sort of spectral or psychic energy, and anything possessing a soul.
Mutations: Terran-Arboreal hybrid type (four legs, two wings), claws
Special Characteristics: Amethyst and silver rosary

mc109me
Egg Stage

mc109mw
Wyrm Stage

Unyko

mc108f
#mc108f -- Machesri Black Fire Opal Divine Arboreal Female
Abilities/Attacks/Objects: Fire Agate Stone -- grants her fire breath and control over all flames and fires
Fire Spirit Tattoos -- make her immune to injury from fire and extreme heat
Phoenix Tail Feathers -- These feathers, from the tail of her bond, Chiami, give her the ability to burst into flame and burn away into ashes. She can then reform from these ashes, whether they are scattered or not. She will reform in her Bishen stage, in perfect health. This ability is useful to escape enemies or to heal if she is gravely wounded.
Mutations: Divine characteristics (including Black Fire Opal coloration and falcon-like wings), two sets of wings (second set miniature), sharp, flame-shaped back spines
Special Characteristics: Gold and fiery feather jewelry, silver horn ring with iridescent white feather, dark eye markings
Notes: Her Divine coloration is a rare, opal type. Her eyes have dark markings around them, barely visible on her dark scales.

mc108fe
Egg Stage -- Black Fire Opal Divine Egg (blue spots for a female? lol)

mc108fw
Wyrm Stage -- She has bits of down where her two sets of wings will be, and she has her silver horn ring.

Dragon History for #mc95f, Ahenna Hauvashi'Niaryai

This dragon's story begins with the warlock Lorccivlod. Lorccivlod was once a scholar and a sage. He studied many different subjects, both magical and scientific. He was first and foremost, however, an experimentalist, and his academic interests eventually led him to experiment on living creatures. Lorccivlod crossed the sacred line between white and black magic. He first used plants and simple creatures, but eventually, he moved on to more complex animals. His last and most horrible step led him to obtain a Bishel Dragon egg through illicit channels.

Lorccivlod was intrigued by the metamorphic abilities of young Bishel Dragons. To test this, he used a very complex and dangerous spell to split the egg into three. The three resulting eggs were each whole in the physical sense, but they each held only a third of the soul and spirit of the original dragon egg. Each egg was placed into a different, constructed environment to hatch and grow under Lorccivlod's supervision.

The first egg found its home in a deep, dark system of tunnels formed from lapis. The tunnels were filled with mist and trickling water. The second egg was placed high on the bright, snowy cliffs of a mountainside, draped in clouds and mist, perfectly undisturbed and solitary. The third egg Lorccivlod sent into the pitch-dark depths of an underground lake. The lake was turbulent and volcanic, often cracking and producing jets of steam and molten lava. The egg was left in alone in this dangerous setting. Each setting was magically sealed from any interference and devoid of all signs of the passage of time. There were no cycles of day and night and no turning of the seasons. Lorccivlod observed the eggs from afar.

Devoid of all contact, they eventually hatched. They produced three nearly identical wyrms. There were very slight physical differences, especially noticeable in their faces and back scales. The most obvious differences were in their coloration. The first hatched a Blue, the second, later, into a White, and the third, by far the last, into a Black. Once they were hatched, Lorccivlod went to each wyrm and introduced himself as their lord and keeper, in images paired with words of their native language. They were to stay in the magical confines he provided them; they could not escape. He gave them no names, calling them only "dragon". Each wyrm he gave the exact same telepathic 'speech', then left them to their own devices. Food was provided for each, although the food available was slightly different. They grew into shrapehood at their own pace, which was quite slowly.

The Blue spent her time wandering the lapis caves. She was a creature of absolute silence. The shifting mists left her listless and vague. When she thought, it was mostly a nebulous feeling that something was missing from her existence. She grew slowly into a thin, lithe Terran shrape. The Blue found solace in creating odd, abstract structures of stones and mud. She kept a collection of rocks and pebbles she found with colors other than blue in them. Most of all, she slept and dreamed of things like sunlight and earthy forests, things she could never quite recall while waking.

The White dragon was far more structured. She named herself Raieil, a name that had carried through from her egghood and felt perfectly right. In her harsh, unforgiving environment, she kept strict rituals of collecting food and keeping her cave stocked with warm pelts and any plant remains she could find. After seeing a spark created from two stones falling in a rock slide, she quickly discovered their source and made fires using flint and steel, much to the surprise of Lorccivlod. She spent the many blizzards writing in a language she had created herself, based loosely on what she could remember of her native language from her egghood and supplemented with symbols that took their cues from nature, the curving shapes of snow and jagged lines of mountain rock. She often rendered very intricate artwork as well, creating her own paints and charcoals. She matured into an Arboreal shrape far more rapidly than her two counterparts, growing an immense pair of wings that allowed her to soar through all but the most powerful blizzards. Even though, as a White, she preferred solitude, she would occasionally pause to stare across the never-ending, white mountains, feeling a distant pull just out of sight.

The Black was the last to hatch, the slowest to grow, but by far the most vicious and predatory. The wyrm became a voracious huntress, all but emptying her lake of all life. The food supply constantly had to be reestablished by Lorccivlod. She did not eat all her kills but seemed to kill from sheer boredom and territorial nature. She was extremely fast and aggressive. She would even snap at the bubbles of steam that interrupted the ever-changing lake bed. She become resistant to the heat, but she was wise enough to keep away from the underwater eruptions, watching them with awe and quite a bit of envy. She enjoyed the chaotic, except when it disturbed her cave. She collected bones, shells, glass fragments... anything gleaming and interesting. She gained size gradually, and when she had remained the same size for quite some time, Lorccivlod determined she must be a Marine shrape. When not hunting, looking for steam jets to race around, or finding treasures, the Black brooded. She curled in her cave, wrapping in on herself until she could hear and see nothing, trying to block out the feelings of unease that haunted her nightmarish sleep.

Lorccivlod observed the shrapes for a long time after they had stopped growing. Although he could see they inherently were magical creatures, they did not seem to be able to harness the magic. They lacked the instinctive ability other species had to access their powers. From his research, Lorccivlod knew that Bishel Dragons often received special magical gifts, used to direct their magic. He studied each dragon, finding out which elemental magics manifested most in their auras. The warlock then created three magical gems, designed to allow the shrapes to begin to access their magic. For the Blue, he created an Onyx Gem, which embodied the elements of darkness and mist. The White he made an Icy Gem of light and freezing cold. Finally, he shaped a Lava Gem for the Black, giving her access to the elements of heat and pressure.

He visited each shrape and fused their respective gem into their forehead, making it slightly painful to reinforce his place as their superior. He told them to explore their magic, increase their power, and make themselves worthy of him. Then, he once again left them alone.

The Bishel shrapes lacked guidance, but they managed to use the gems to their advantage. The Black was the quickest to learn but impatient. She learned to use heat and pressure to force jets of boiling water or steam on targets. She also pushed closer and closer to the steam and lava of her environment, developing a resistance far above normal to their scalding heat. The White took a careful approach, learning to freeze water back into ice with a glowing burst. Eventually, this became an attack of freezing light. She continued to find little ways to use her new abilities, resisting the cold outside and experimenting with shaping ice and snow sculptures. The Blue lagged far behind. Her vision improved as darkness became her natural ally, but she never developed an attack of any sort. There was nothing to attack or defend against, after all. Despite Lorccivlod's command, she did not press herself further.

Lorccivlod's study continued, but the dragons had obviously reached full maturity. He had proved the adaptability of the Bishel Dragons, prodding what he considered to be the same egg into three distinctly different creatures. He did not consider that perhaps the fragments of spirit and soul in each were different. He thought each to be a clone of the original, but you cannot magically create a new soul. Eventually, he became bored with the experiment. He sought to move in a new direction, and here, he made his mistake. He believed he could reverse the spell he had conjured so long ago, merging the three dragons back together, creating one superbly powerful dragon with the strengths and abilities of all three of the Bishen. This creature, he was certain, could be a large asset. Thus, he began to construct a reversal.

When Lorccivlod thought his spell ready, he brought all the dragons into a pitch black plane, devoid of all distractions. It was there, for only a moment, that they saw one another, whole and complete. Each dragon immediately recognized the other two as that piece that had been missing from their lives. But the joy and awe in that moment were quickly erased as Lorccivlod cast his terrible spell. The three beings were twisted together, under extreme magical pressure. The process was painful and terrifying. Their soul sought to rejoin, but their bodies and, most importantly, their minds, had become too different. The three parts fought, none wanting to submit to another. The spell was only partially successful, and the result was a terrible creation--a hydra, a chimera, with three distinct personalities pushed into a patchwork merger of body and mind.

In the midst of all this pain and suffering, the dragons went mad. Driven by the powerful, aggressive instinct of the Black, they attacked Lorccivlod. The warlock was spent from the casting of such a complex spell, and he had no recourse but to escape. Unfortunately, he had not the power to send the dragons away, and when the magic plane collapsed, they fell with him into his laboratory. They continued their attack, unreasonable and uncontrollable, and killed the dark warlock in a rage. Then, they screamed in agony and complete confusion.

Slowly, they began to regain their senses, learning to separate their thoughts from the confused storm that the melding had created. Although there was terror and violation in the merging, there was also a sense of coming home, of finding that companionship they had been missing, even for the Black. They found movement in strange, new limbs and came to realize what had happened. Thinking most clearly, it was the White, Raieil, who first realized that by killing Lorccivlod, they had perhaps lost all hope of ever reversing the horror he had unleashed upon them.

Over many years, the dragons adjusted to their new state, hiding in Lorccivlod's lair. Raieil reviewed his research, teaching herself several new languages in the process, but to no avail. Lorccivlod, despite his dark leanings, had been a warlock of the highest power and genius, and there was simply no way the dragons could reverse what he had done. Eventually, they decided they could not remain in Lorccivlod's lair forever. They went out into the world, eager to explore the new, different places they would find. Perhaps, even, to find someone who could help them reverse Lorccivlod's work.

Smith's Talismans -- These two obsidian talismans, which our dragon has embedded into his armor, embody the imagination and skill of the armor and weapon smith. They provide him with the ability to refine and shape metal using only his will.
